Executive Chef | Vanuatu
The 140 room Le Lagon Resort is one of the premier resorts in Vanuatu and a member of Warwick International Hotels which includes over 40 prestigious hotels, resorts and spas in Europe, USA, Asia, Africa and the Pacific.
The resort is currently seeking an Executive Chef who will be one of two positions responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of approximately 50 employees for the outlets and buffets and / or banquets for up to 300 guests.
Must be highly skilled and creative in menu design, cost control and all areas of food preparation and presentation. This position will be responsible for the management, training, development and refinement of current skills of the Food Preparation Department (Culinary Team including Stewarding).
Must have hands-on experience in enforcement of occupational health and safety hygenic regulations to ensure a safe, clean and hygenic work environment.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of three years experience working in an international hotel or resort environment with with a fine dining component.
A proven track record in both the creative and management side is a must. This candidate will possess international culinary experience, a dynamic and energetic personality, an eye for detail and strong experience in managing, training, motivating and leading.
Must have multi-cultural leadership experience, patience, flexibiltiy and above all, be a team player!
