An exciting opportunitiy has arisen for a highly motivated individual wishing to advance their culinary career in the capacity of Chef de Cuisine. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the kitchen on a daily basis, as well as providing leadership and support to the team while maximising employee productivity.
Our client - one of the largest single site entertainment and hospitality employers in Australia - is looking for a dynamic and professional individual to join its team and develop their own successful long term career.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
Assist the Executive Chef in the management, coaching and development of employees in line with the company's vision of consistently providing an enjoyable and satisfying customer experience
Maximise employee productivity and achieve optimum staffing levels to minimise payroll
Maintain food and labour costs to parameters set by the company
Drive new business opportunities
Maintain consistency across varying conditions
Have extensive knowledge and proven experience in European cuisine and cooking techniques
Ensure the kitchen reflects the flair, creativity and quality expected by the company
Ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times
Administer the company’s rostering and payroll database systems to support the management team
With your passion for the Food and Beverage Industry and attention to detail in a fast paced environment, you will be a team player who is self motivated and focused on providing quality leadership to your team. To be able to demonstrate your management experience in a commercial kitchen environment is essential and you will have the relevant Trade qualifications, communication skills and business acumen necessary for success.
