We are a busy village pub, located by the beach in Cornwall, in the height of the season doing approx 200 covers, using mostly fresh and local ingredients. You will manage the kitchen until such a time a team member can be added to assist you. You will work to increase business to a level that it will sustain further growth. The client is seeking to increase sales but not to decrease the service and standards, to that end they are also considering rosettes in time that of course is up to you. The restaurant is situated in a fantastic location with a triangle of customers allowing you to be busy all year around, ad of course making the most of the summer trade. The kitchen can only be described as LARGE and is very well equipped. A ’face-lift’ is currently being given to the restaurant and the client would like to be able to offer very good quality home cooked food with restaurant finesse, presented well to ensure return visits. They are keen to develop theme events and of the obligatory Sunday Carvery, again, increasing sales will be a key part of your position, and you will be expected to put the hours in to achieve this. Opening in June you have the chance to be there at the very start. This would look good on any CV development, increasing of Sales and awards and accolades.
